The Univision reality show/beauty pageant Nuestra Belleza Latina finished its fifth edition on Sunday night. Crowned Nuestra Belleza Latina 2011 was Nicaraguan-American Nasstasja Bolívar of Miami. Runner-up was Puerto Rican Gredmarie Colón. Rounding out the top four were Cuban-American Jenny Arzola and Colombian-American Nicole Suárez. Nuestra Belleza Latina 2011 was hosted by Giselle Blondet and the judges were Osmel Sousa, Lupita Jones, and telenovela stud Julian Gil. According to the Hollywood Reporter, this finale of the fifth edition of Nuestra Belleza Latina led the Univision network to a third place finish for the entire night among all US broadcast networks among Adults 18-34, ahead of CBS and NBC, and #4 among Adults 18-49, ahead of CBS. Via press release: Univision’s highly anticipated beauty reality competition “Nuestra Belleza Latina” returns for a larger-than-life fifth season premiere on Sunday, March 6. Emotions run high as new contestants battle it out for the coveted crown and the chance to win $250,000 in cash and prizes. She will also receive a one-year contract with Univision Network, following in the footsteps of the four previous winners who today are household names in Hispanic America. This year’s runner-up will also be awarded a contract with Univision Network.

“Nuestra Belleza Latina,” hosted by Univision personality Giselle Blondet, will feature harder-than-ever challenges that will try contestants to the very end as they demonstrate that being beautiful is more than having a pretty face.

With a panel of judges that have dominated the beauty pageants for the past 3 consecutive year’s pageant legend Osmel Sousa, former Miss Universe Lupita Jones return to this year’s program to show why they are considered the best in the industry. Once again joining them is heartthrob sensation Julian Gil, one of the stars of the hit telenovela “Eva Luna.” Representing 15 countries in Latin America and 16 States in the U.S., a total of 89 contestants will compete during the premiere with the hope of becoming one of the 12 finalists selected for the competition.
