Mlive.com, 09-jun-2011, Aaron Foley: Fox News has an interesting tidbit about Dearborn's own Miss USA Rima Fakih, who has seemingly returned to normal pageant life after being kicked off a reality show earlier this spring. Apparently Fakih is being investigated and watched like a hawk because she partied too hard one night and nearly missed out on a press junket.Fox News: Her attempts to “lie and cover up” the incident apparently prompted the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) to ask for security tapes to uncover the truth. “There was one night last week where she had some interviews the next day. First we thought she wasn’t at the apartment [which she shares in Manhattan with Miss Universe, who was out of town] and someone [from the publicity team] was trying to get her to the interview. She was sound asleep, and looked like she’d been out all night,” Shugart told us.Who knew that Miss USA had such Secret Service-like treatment, and that doing things that normal 25-year-olds do -- like party every once in a while -- is supposed to have prior clearance? Apparently going out to party is against the rules, but the pageant didn't have a problem with Fakih fighting, cursing and drinking all over WWE's "Tough Enough" this season. So, why's the whip being cracked now? Perhaps the Miss Universe Organization needs some better exercises in showing their representatives how to handle the pressure of carrying the crown. And stop being so uptight.
